About the Release of Movie Lingaa:
Superstar Rajnikanth's Lingaa movie is released today on his birth date December 12. The other casts of the film includes Sonakshi Sinha, Jagapati Babu and Anushka Shetty. Lingaa’s music is composed by A. R. Rahman. However the movie was expected to release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi; but due to some reasons release of the hindi dubbed version is postponed for few weeks. This has been done to exploit the regional versions optimally, I think. So the hindi version is now expected to arrive on December 26. Thalaivaa (Rajni) has a huge fan following across the country, so film producers delayed Hindi dubbed version to exploit much more from its Tamil and Telugu version releases. So the much awaited movie of this year Lingaa starrer Superstar Rajnikanth is released now. The craze of Tollywood supertar Rajnikanth's movies are always very high and his movies can give any movie in Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana a run for their money.
Story Plot of the Movie:
The movie Lingaa is an action thriller movie where Rajinikanth will be seen in a dual role. The story plot of Lingaa is all about an engineer Raja(Rajnikanth) who wants to build a dam in a region to solve the problems of the people, but Raja was murdered in a temple near the village. After many years, Anushka who belongs to that village finds Lingaa, grandson of engineer Raja and he is a thief. Now he plans to rob the temple, but in the meantime he learns about problems of the people of village and then he decides to finish the project of Dam, how he does that is the rest plot of the movie.
Ratings & Review:
Experts have given 2.5 stars out of 5 in terms of the rating to the movie Lingaa. Rajni was at his best in this movie, he has done a tremendous job in his both roles. Rajnikanth is the main positive point of the movie Lingaa and there is nothing special in the story and direction. Comedy scenes performed by Santhanam are just average, but dialogues and action sequences are a treat to watch. So I must say Lingaa fails to impress. The second half and climax of the movie is not up to the mark, but due to the power of Rajni sir the film must be doing huge business for sure. So if you are a Thalaiva Rajni fan, then you must go for it and watch the movie. 
1st Day Box Office Collection of Lingaa Movie:
The movie reports positive in terms of collection after the few shows on the first day and will be doing good business for sure in the coming days. The movie released on 5500 screens worldwide today, which is new record for a Tamil movie and is expected to fetch a handsome amount in terms of the Lingaa Box Office Collection. The movie is expected to collect almost 20-30 Crores on Friday with an opening day. Movie was reported more than 60% occupancy at the Box Office with a huge advance bookings today. Lingaa is already grossing a net box office collection of INR 201 crore before the release, in terms of satellite TV rights and others.
Will Lingaa beat ‘Kaththi’ first day box office collections?

Tollywood trade experts will be eager to see if Lingaa will be able to break the first day earnings record of Kaththi. Vijay’s starrer Kaththi collected Rs. 12.5 Crores on its first day. So it looks like Lingaa is certainly going to earn more than Kaththi on opening day. The reason behind this huge expectation is non other than superstar Rajnikanth.
