A.R. Rahman is in the Oscar race once again *Pray for Him*


A.R. Rahman is in the Oscar race once again for the original score at the 87th Academy Awards:



It is to be noted that A.R.Rahman had earlier won the Oscars in the same category for his original score in "Slumdog Millionaire". Now he is in contention for Oscar once again. Oscar contention for nomination list was announced yesterday. A.R. Rahman is in the Oscar race once again for the original score at the 87th Academy Awards. The list includes 114 scores from eligible feature-length motion pictures released in 2014 are in contention for nominations in the Original Score category for the 87th Oscars.

The 87th Academy Awards final nominations will be announced live on Thursday, January 15, 2015 and the Oscars will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015.

 The Hundred-Foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm & Kochadaiiyaan are in the long list for a 2014 Oscar nomination under the original score category. Four songs composed by A.R. Rahman are also in the list for a 2014 Oscar nomination under the original song category. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced in their official webpage the list of 114 scores from eligible feature-length motion pictures released in 2014 which are in contention for nominations in the Original Score category for the 87th Oscars. And our very own Indian Music Maestro A R Rahman’s three compositions feature in the list of 114 compositions from music composers worldwide. Rahman’s “The 100 foot journey”, “Million Dollar Arm” and Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiiyaan feature in this list. A real proud moment for all of us indeed! The 87th Academy Awards nominations will be announced on the 15th of January and the Oscars will be held on February 22 nd at Hollywood.
