The world’s first windowless plane is now ready to take off

Windowless Plane: Passengers Would See The World Around Them

Is this the future of flying?

Screen Shot 2014 10 28 at 2.49.12 pm

UK developer working on switching heavy aircraft windows with uber-light smartscreen panels (windowless plane) that allow passengers to see what’s going on outside and to cut fuel utilization and reduce air fares. CPI said, it could lead to less costly flights for consumers. According to its calculations, each time plane weight reduces 1%, there’s a 0.75% savings in fuel cost, so the passenger, manufacturer and the airline will save money.

The Full-length screens allowing constant views of the sky and space outside would replace the windows. Passengers would be able to switch the view on and off according to their preference, identify prominent sights by tapping the screen or just surf the internet.

Scientists and engineers at Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) called it “the windowless cabin with a view”. The early-stage concept for the windowless plane, based on technology used in mobile phones and televisions, hails from the Centre for Process Innovation (CPI), an organisation with sites across north-east England that works with companies to develop new products. It imagines how large, hi-definition, ultra thin and lightweight displays could form the inside of the fuselage, displaying images of the exterior from cameras mounted on the plane’s exterior.

windowless plane 1

They said, “The days of glimpsing the world through a tiny plastic porthole when you fly are soon to be a thing of the past; future aircrafts will offer a crystal clear panoramic view without any windows at all. We are developing ultra-flexible, high-definition display technologies that could line the interior walls of cabins and display live footage from external cameras.”

windowless plane CPI cabin

As well as surrounding passengers with a panoramic view of the skies, this interactive ‘digital wallpaper’ will allow travellers to personalize their environment providing options to adjust lighting or change the view. It could also be used as a multimedia device for in-flight entertainment.

Using OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technology, the thin, bendable and lightweight displays screens will blend with the fuselage and surfaces such as seatbacks optimizing space and reducing the weight of the aircraft.

Weight is a constant issue on any aircraft with over 80% of the fully laden weight being the aircraft itself along with its fuel. For every 1% reduction in weight the approximate fuel saving is 0.75%.

They added, “If you save weight, you save fuel. And less fuel means less CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and lower operational cost. Windows currently require meticulous construction to ensure that their structure maintains cabin pressure and resists cracking at 35,000 feet. Fully integrated OLED technology is still in development across the globe.”

Simon Ogier, research and development manager at CPI, said, “Our role is to turn innovative technology concepts such as OLED displays into manufactured products.”

Of course, what the company said will happen and what actually happens could be very different things, but if you aren’t flat-out terrified of this plane model, it could be a fascinating development for commercial aircrafts.

Narendra Modi Govt clears defence projects worth Rs 80,000 Crores, 6 submarines to be built in India

The Defence Acquisition Council of India on Saturday cleared defence deals worth Rs. 80,000 crore. The deal includes the acquisition of six conventional submarines

Now fear is started in Pakistan and China. It’s good to see that money spent on defense projects will be in India and will benefit Indians. The shipyards will have business and employment while the expenses will be a lot less when manufactured at home. Hope to see more of this from this government. The decision to manufacture the submarines in India is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ pitch. Now it’s time to make more in India, make everything in India to success the campaign ‘Make in India’.

Screen Shot 2014 10 27 at 10.57.01 pm

Israel supplies and develops unique weapon systems that the us uses when it decides it needs it and is found to be a success. E.g. Drones were given a special status in Israel and developed to a greater degree than the we did, likewise today anti missile and mortar tech that the us is also now benefiting from. India has opted to buy Israel’s Spike anti-tank guided missile, a defence ministry source said on Saturday, rejecting a rival US offer of Javelin missiles that Washington had lobbied hard to win. Spike is a man-portable “fire and forget” anti-tank missile that locks on to targets before shooting. It is produced by Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, which declined to comment.

Following this, the ministry will issue requests for proposal (RFP) to specific port that will be identified on the basis of the study which will look into whether they have the capacity and manpower to build six submarines in the same port only besides other parameters.

The Defence Acquisition Council of India on Saturday cleared defence projects deals worth Rs. 80,000 crore. The deal includes the acquisition of six conventional submarines to augment the aging and depleted submarine fleet and two midget submarines — also known as ‘Swimmer Delivery Vehicles’ – which are used for special operations. India will buy at least 8,000 Spike missiles and more than 300 launchers in a deal worth 32bn rupees ($525m), the source said after a meeting of India’s Defence Acquisition Council.

Screen Shot 2014 10 27 at 10.56.29 pm

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘make in India’ campaign and the overall policy to build and strengthen the fledgling Indian defence industry, all six boats will be made in Indian shipyards. The Indian Navy – the end users  – will identify shipyards that can acquire the technology from foreign manufacturers and build the boats on schedule. The process of identifying the shipyards will be completed in the next two months. There are seven shipyards in India, including four government yards. The Indian exchequer will shell out an estimated Rs. 53,000 crore for the six boats.

Screen Shot 2014 10 27 at 10.57.14 pm

Clearing the procurement, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley said, “National security is of paramount concern for the government and all hurdles and bottlenecks in the procurement process should be addressed expeditiously.”

The midget submarines weigh less than 150 tons and are smaller than conventional submarines. They can carry between 8 to 24 fully armed commandos, who are ejected through the torpedo tubes some miles away from the target, from where they can swim towards their target, complete the mission and swim back; this is why they are also called ‘Swimmer Delivery Vehicles’.

The DAC (Defence Acquisition Council ) also decided to buy 1,761 units of five spoke 7.5 ton radio containers at the cost of Rs 662 crores besides buying 1,768 critical rolling stock — open and closed wagons for transport of military equipment at a cost of Rs 740 crore.

How to Secure Your Personal Data from Chinese Xiaomi Phones

Why Indian Air Force Asks Personnel Not To Use Chinese Xiaomi Redmi 1S & Mi3 Phone?

Cheap and best concept totally fit for Chinese company Xiaomi. After launching their models (Redmi 1S and Mi3) in India, got huge success. Now planning for other models also. But The Indian Air Force, in an alert issued to IAF personnel and their family members, claimed that Xiaomi smartphones are sending private user data like carrier name, phone number, IMEI also numbers from the address book and text messages to remote servers located in China.

They got this information through “F-secure“. It is the one of the top security solution company, they carried out a test and found these results.

  xioami

This was the only truth behind this suggestion by IAF. Actually its not safe for those who are related to the army and their family members. I don’t understand why people are not getting the points.

  1. Remember when you use GMAIL, Yahoo, Facebook, your data is transferred to US servers which is accessed by all the security agencies without your permission. FB Google and other ad servers track you through cookies placed in your pc/mobile without your permission. So, its not a big deal if your data is stored in xiaomi servers in China.

  2. Icloud /ASUS/Microsoft web Storage/ Iphone servers are also located at various places all over the world, So if someone is using web server that means he is allowed his data to store at cloud.

  3. Indian Govt uses normal gmail for official communication, even PMO uses it, whose data are stored in US servers. Recently Indian govt thought of using the Indian mail system.

  4. An air Force warning is of no importance to common man, and is meant for Air Force personals and their family members.Your data is already in US, UK, Singapore servers accessed by many agencies without your permission. DON’t worry about that.

How to Secure Our Personal Data from Chinese Xiaomi Phones and Others

1- It is recommended that do not use your personal information like bank account details, passport, Personal photos, etc. on the web server because it’s not secure and any skilled hacker can steal it easily.

2. Better to root your device and uninstall all china apps that comes pre installed.

So these are all about “How to Secure Our Personal Data from Chinese Xiaomi Phones” till now I’ll update you if any new things, I found. So keep in touch for more updates. You may also suggest us if got anything wrong in this article or any updates in our comment section.

Happy New Year Movie Review: Entertaining without Logic

Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah

Director: Farah Khan

Music Director: Vishal Shekhar

U/A; Action-comedy drama

Happy New Year is full-blown typical Bollywood masala film. Farah Khan and Shah Rukh Khan combine once again to give us a rock solid entertainer- largely fun. Kudos to SRK for not hogging the limelight. Fantastic action full of fun, except Abhishek Bachchan claps and whistle for ever character entry. You excited to see the second half, 2nd half going in the same pace. The film is expected to cross Rs 40 crore collection at the box office on its first day, thereby creating history. icon smile

Happy New Year is built around 5 disparate characters who are fighting a most unlikely battle.. A battle of international proportions.. But it’s a battle being fought on a dance floor. Where the rest of the world’s competitors are battling for national pride and glory on the world stage, our 5 are dancing for a different cause.. Revenge, retribution and closure. This is Team India, a group that has no confidence in its own dancing abilities, but is competing for a cause very important to them.

happy new year review

During the watch of Happy New Year, Shah Rukh shows none of the charm that made him a star. The film is one of the most foolish he’s made and this is one of the worst performances in the actor’s career. He can’t get even a snap of chemistry going with Dipika Padukone in the limp and listless love story of Happy New Year.

Happy New Year – TRAILER Video

Happy New Year Movie Review by Others:

happy new year

According to First Post:

Technically, HNY is Step Up meets Ocean’s Eleven. Instead of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and gang, we get Shah Rukh, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, Vivaan Shah and Abhishek Bachchan in a script that is like a jenga tower of illogic and cringe-inducing details.

According to IBTimes:

Apart form SRK, the lead roles are played by Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah. They appear as fake dancers, who attempt the greatest diamond heist ever. The film has Vishal Shekhar’s soundtracks, John Stewart Eduri’s background score, Manush Nandan’s cinematography and Anand Subaya’s editing.

According to IndiaTVNews:

It’s a good family entertainer minus any logics. Happy New Year is an ultimate recipe, which needs to be gulped with immense pleasure. One thing, which is and quite obvious is that had it not been the king of entertainment Shah Rukh Khan, this three hour long movie would not have been that easy to standby.

According to Mid-Day:

Those who love Bollywood for its quirks and idiosyncrasies, will like this film. If you tend to take life and films more seriously than that, watch something else.

The spread of Ebola between people occurs only by direct contact with the blood or body fluids of a person after symptoms have developed.

EBOLA Key facts

Symptoms of ebola 1014x1024

■ Ebola is spread through direct contact with blood or other body fluids of an infected person, such as saliva, vomit, breast milk and sweat. It can’t be spread through the air.

■  The disease is caused by an infection from one of four Ebola viruses, which attack cells in the body.

■  Symptoms include a fever of at least 100.4 degrees, severe headache, often-fatal illness in humans, sore throat, muscle pain, throwing up. Then, vomiting, bruising, diarrhea and rash usually follows, along with decreased function of the liver and kidneys. At this time, generally, some people begin to cough up blood, chills and stomach pain both. Death, if it occurs, is typically six to sixteen days after symptoms appear and is often due to low blood pressure from fluid loss.

■  After being exposed to Ebola, the incubation period is typically two to 21 days to contract it, although a small number of cases may take longer.

■  Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone, all in West Africa, are the three countries that have been hit hardest.

■  The average fatality rate is about 50 percent. There is no vaccine for Ebola. Treatment includes antibodies from patients who have recovered, intravenous fluids and helping patients maintain their blood pressure and oxygen intake.

■  Liberia has had 2,705 Ebola deaths out of 4,665 cases, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

■  Guinea has had 904 deaths out of 1,540 cases. Sierra Leone has had 1,259 deaths out of 3,706 cases.

■  Nigeria, which has had eight deaths, and Senegal, which had one case, but no deaths, are now Ebola-free, says the World Health Organization.

■  Four people have contracted Ebola within the United States, and there has been one death. In Spain, a nurse contracted Ebola from a patient taken there for treatment.

Additional facts about Doctors Without Borders:

■  The humanitarian organization got its start during civil unrest in France in 1968, and was formally created in Paris in 1971, made up of an initial group of 300 volunteers.

■  It now has 30,000 workers in more than 60 countries treating medical emergencies, from Ebola to tuberculosis to cholera. Since founded, DWB has treated more than 100 million patients.

■  The group has treated 1,000 patients for Ebola — and the 1,000th survivor is a Liberian teen named Kollie James.

  • Do not touch the body of someone who has died from Ebola.

  • Do not touch bats and nonhuman primates or their blood and fluids and do not touch or eat raw meat prepared from these animals.

  • Avoid hospitals in West Africa, where Ebola patients are being treated. The U.S. Embassy or consulate is often able to provide advice on medical facilities.

  • Seek medical care immediately if you develop an elevated body temperature or subjective fever and any of the other following symptoms: headache, muscle pain, diarrhea, vomiting, stomach pain, or unexplained bruising or bleeding.

  • Limit your contact with other people until and when you go to the doctor. Do not travel anywhere else besides a health care facility.

The World Health Organization says millions of doses of two experimental Ebola vaccines could be ready for use in 2015 and five more experimental vaccines will start being tested in March.
