The music album and teaser released on Thursday, 18th of September of the very much awaited tamil movie ‘Kaththi’ staring Vijay. The event was attended by “Kaththi” cast and crew including Vijay, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anirudh, Madhan Karky and Hip Hop Thamizha among others.
Kaththi (English: Knife) is an upcoming 2014 Tamil action thriller film written and directed by AR Murugadoss. The film stars Vijay in a double role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu, with Neil Nitin Mukesh, who is already famous in bollywood hindi films and made his debut in Tamil cinema through this film, and Tota Roy Chowdhury portraying the antagonist roles. Anirudh Ravichander, “why this kolaveri di” fame, composed the soundtrack album and background score for the film, cinematography was done by George C. Williams, and the film was edited by A. Sreekar Prasad. Eros International purchased the theatrical and audio rights for the film and Lyca Productions and Ayngaran International bankrolled the venture. The film was voted the most anticipated Tamil film of 2014 in a poll conducted by Behindwoods.
